In December 2014, Amanda discovered quilling, also called paper filigree, thanks to an artist in her then-local area, Kai Garber, whose work was formerly posted on LeQuillery.com. Amanda decided to try their hand at it. Within a few pieces, they got bored of practicing with templates and started making their own creations. Below you can some of their favorites.
- Quilled Red Maple Leaf Flameless Tea-Light Holder
- Quilled Orange Maple Leaf
- Quilled Wolves Looking at the Full Moon on Acrylic
- Quilled Boy & Balloons on Acrylic (Inspired by Dr. Seuss’s Oh the Places You’ll Go)
- Quilled & Painted Sherlock Holmes (Posed on The Hound of the Baskervilles)
